Moonflower Murders, the Masterpiece follow up to Magpie Murders, has a release date: The second series chronicling a mystery solved by Susan Ryeland (Lesley Manville) and the fictional Atticus Pünd (Tim McMullan) will premiere September 15 on PBS.

Masterpiece also dropped the first trailer for the series. The action, which is based on Anthony Horowitz’s best-selling novel of the same name, takes place after the events of Magpie Murders, the hit series shown on PBS in 2022. More than 5.5 million viewers watched Magpie Murders and the series has been streamed over 3.1 million times.

Moonflower Murders is an Eleventh Hour Films production in association with Salt Films for Masterpiece and BBC One, and distributed worldwide by Sony Pictures Television and PBS Distribution in North America.
